Tallinn's cruise berths sit about fifteen minutes' walk from Town Hall Square, and plenty of passengers simply walk in. If all you want is the old town on foot, do that and keep your money.
A car earns its place on a port day in three situations: someone in the party cannot manage the cobbles, you want Lahemaa or Kadriorg rather than the old town, or you want the return time guaranteed rather than estimated. We agree the hour we get you back before we set off, and we build the buffer in.

Comfort for the distance.
Sedan for up to three, van for up to eight, larger groups on request. For a full port day the vehicle stays with you rather than shuttling, so a stop can run long or be dropped without a coach waiting.
- How far is Tallinn cruise port from the old town?
- About fifteen minutes on foot, or ten minutes by car, on flat and well-signed ground. It is one of the easiest cruise ports in Europe to walk in from.
- Will I get back before the ship leaves?
- That is the thing we actually plan around. We agree the return hour before setting off, work backwards from your all-aboard time, and add a thirty minute buffer. If a request does not fit the call, we say so at the booking rather than at four in the afternoon.
- Can we reach Lahemaa National Park on a port day?
- Yes, on a standard eight to ten hour call. Lahemaa is about an hour east and a half day covers a bog boardwalk, the boulder coast and a manor house with time to spare. Doing it in the morning and the old town after three avoids the midday crowds.
- Do you also meet the Helsinki ferry?
- Yes. The fast ferries dock at the D-terminal in the same harbour and we meet those arrivals the same way.
- Is a private driver cheaper than the ship's excursion?
- Usually, often by half, with a group of three to eight rather than forty. What the ship's own excursion buys that we cannot is the ship formally waiting for you. That guarantee is real and worth weighing.
